  • February 8, 2012- The firm's attorneys attended the February meeting of the Nassau County Bar Association's Matrimonial Law Committee featruring Justice Arthur M. Diamond speaking on the admissibility of social media and internet based evidence.
  • February 7, 2012- The first appellate decsion interpreting New York's interim spousal support statute, Khaira v Khaira, twice cites to Lee Rosenberg's NY Law Journal article  "Multiple Flaws Abound in New Interim Spousal Support Statute" from February 25, 2011.
  • February 2012- Part 2 of "The Enforceability of 'Automatic Orders'" by Lee Rosenberg appears in this month's New York Family Law Monthy. The article may also be found on his blog at  www.divorcenewyorksyle.com.  
  • January 26, 2012- Andrea Brodie and Lee Rosenberg attended the Annual Meeting of the NYSBA Family Lw Section. Lee was also quoted in a NY Law Journal article on the first no-fault divorce trial and was selected to the Board of Managers of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers' New York Chapter. 
  • Andrea Brodie attended the Annual Meeting of the NYSBA Young Lawyers Section where she was selected to be the Young Lawyers Section's Alternate 10th District Representative. 
  • January 17, 2012- Andrea Brodie and Joe DiPalma attended the January meeting of the Nassau County Bar Association Young Lawyer's Committee.
  • January 11, 2012- The firm's attorneys attended the January meeting of the Nassau County Bar Association Matrimonial Law Committee.
  • January 2012-  Part 1 of "When Is an Order Not an Order? The Enforceability of 'Automatic Orders' Under the DRL and Uniform Rule" by Lee Rosenberg appears in the January 2012 issue of NY Family Law Monthly.

2011

  • December 14, 2011- The firm's attorneys attended the year-end meeting of the Nassau County Bar Association Matrimonial Law Committee.
  • December 13, 2011- A Resolution authored by Lee Rosenberg as Chair of the Nassau Bar Association Matrimonial Law Committee recommending the repeal of the interim spousal support statutes and the elimination of "enhanced earning capacity" awards was passed by the Bar Association's Board of Directors. It will be forwarded to the New York State Law Revision Commission for consideration in their report to the New York State Legislature. 
  • December 5, 2011- "Matrimonial Representation And Same-Gender Newlyweds-to-Be" is published in the New York Law Journal.
  • December 1, 2011- Lee Rosenberg co-chaired the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers' winter meeting. The new Chief Administrative Judge of New York State Courts, Hon. A. Gail Prudenti, was the featured speaker.
  • November 2011- "Marriage and Divorce: An Overview of Rights, Obligations and Options for Non-Traditional Couples", by Lee Rosenberg and Andrea M. Brodie appeared in the November issue of the Nassau County Bar Association's "Nassau Lawyer".
  • November 2011-  Andrea Brodie was named sole Vice Chair of the Nassau County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Committee. Lee Rosenberg attended the annual meeting of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in Chicago. He is Vice Chair of the AAML's Membership Committee.
  • November 1, 2011- The firm was successful in obtaining revesals on two appeals in Bushlow v Bushlow, 2011 NY Slip Op 07795 (2nd Dept 2011) and Bushlow v Bushlow, 2011 NY Slip Op 07796 (2nd Dept 2011). 
  • October 19, 2011- Michael Chetkof attended the October meeting of the New York Family Law American Inn of Court.
  • October 12, 2011- The New York Law Journal article, "Divorce Cases Are Complicated By New Maintenance Rules", frequently quoted Lee Rosenberg. In addition, Andrea Brodie co-hosted the Nassau County Women's Bar Association Matrimonial Law meeting. 
  • October 6, 2011- Lee Rosenberg lectured at the NYS Bar Association's Basic Matrimonial Practice seminar.
  • October 5. 2011-The firm's attorneys joined in attending the October Meeting of the Nassau County Bar Association Matrimonial Law Committee which is Chaired by Lee Rosenberg and featured Justice Jeffrey S. Sunshine speaking on the interim spousal support statute. 
  • October, 2011- Lee Rosenberg was again selected as one of the Ten Leaders in Matrimonial and Divorce Law on Long Island. He was also invited by the New York State Law Revision Commisson to attend their Round-table meeting on interim spousal support in Albany on October 25, 2011.
  • September, 2011- NY Metro Area "Super Lawyers" selected Lee Rosenberg for inclusion in the field of Family Law for the fifth consecutive year.
  • September 22 - Andrea Brodie attended the Nassau County Women's Bar Association Cocktail Reception honoring the Judiciary 
  • September 14, 2011- The firm's attorneys joined in attending the September Meeting of the Nassau County Bar Association Matrimonial Law Committee which is Chaired by Lee Rosenberg and featured Nassau County Administrative Judges Marano, Zimmerman, and Dane providing an update on Nassau County's matrimonial and family law courts.

Andrea Brodie has been selected to become co-chair of the Nassau County Women's Bar Association Matrimonial Committee later this year.
  • March 25, 2011- The firm's case, Jill G. v Jeffrey G., appeared as a decision of interest in the New York Law Journal. It is one of the few published cases addressing support and counsel fee applications made under the new statute.
  • March, 2011- Lee Rosenberg attended the mid-winter meeting of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
  • March 2, 2011- Lee Rosenberg wrote the seminar materials for the Columbian Lawyers Association of Manhattan program on the new matrimonial law statutes.

  • June 2009- The "New York Matrimonial and Family Court Judicial Forum", a round table seminar and discussion with a panel of matrimonial and family law judges, was scheduled to be held on October 29, 2009 with Lee Rosenberg as the moderator.
  • May 13, 2009- Lee Rosenberg was a member of a panel of lawyers and judges discussing counsel fee applications and issues of civility before the members of the the Nassau County Bar Association Matrimonal Committee.
  • May 2009- Julie Tumminello became a member of the Young Lawyers and the Matrimonial Law Committees of the Nassau County Bar Association. She is also a member of Women in the Courts Committee.

  • July 2008- Lee Rosenberg was invited to join the formation committee of a potential Matrimonial Mediation Program in the Nassau County Matrimonial Part which is designed to advance the interests of litigants and children by providing them with an option of alternative dispute resolution in their divorce case.
  • June 16, 2008- Lee Rosenberg was selected to be among attorneys meeting with the New York State Legislature on the issue of no-fault divorce in Albany, New York and participated in the subsequent forum presented by the NYS Office of Court Administration's Office of Matrimonial Study and Reform.
  • June 16, 2008- Michael Chetkof attended the Office of Court Administration Office of Fiduciary Services' Elder Abuse Training for Court Examiner's program at the Judicial Institute in White Plains, New York.
