He is a graduate of St. John's University School of Law where he was a published author in addition to serving as the associate articles editor of the New York International Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Long Island University – C.W. Post, where he was a member of several honor societies. While at St. John's, Joe worked at the Appellate Division Second Department in the Department of Decisions as an assistant, and also interned in the Suffolk County Family Treatment Court. Joe acted as a student lawyer in the Queens Family Court as part of the Child Advocacy Clinic, where he represented children in child protective/neglect proceedings. In addition to his family law background, Joe also has experience in real estate and banking matters gained while at Forcelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo, Cohn & Terrana. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Queens County Bar Association, and the Nassau County Bar Association, including its Matrimonial Law, Family Court Practice and Procedure, and Young Lawyers Committees.
