Attorney, Andrea Brodie is an associate at the firm. Andrea graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona in 2006, where she was inducted to Phi Beta Kappa, the academic honorary and was also a President and Provost Scholar/scholarship recipient. She then obtained her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law, where she received a Citation of Excellence in child advocacy clinical courses. Andrea focuses her practice on family law. Before joining Saltzman Chetkof & Rosenberg LLP, Andrea externed for a Supreme Court Justice in the Nassau County Supreme Court Matrimonial Center, and served as an intern at the Coalition Against Domestic Violence and for a family court judge. She also represented children in abuse and neglect cases as well as special immigrant matters in Nassau and Queens Family Courts as part of Hofstra's Child Advocacy Clinic. Her dedication to family law has earned her recognition among her peers. She was recently selected to become co-chair of the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association Matrimonial Committee for 2011, and is presently also vice chair of the Young Lawyers Committee. Andrea is also actively involved in the “Partnership to Advance Women Leaders” and participated in “Ready, Set, Lead: Empowering Women in the Political Process”. Andrea recently co-authored "Marriage and Divorce: An Overview of Rights, Obligations and Options for Non-Traditional Couples", which appeared in the Nassau County Bar Association's Nassau Lawyer. Andrea is the newly selected Alternate 10th District Representative of the New York State Bar Association'sYoung Lawyers Section.
